This is a catch-all page that covers any sort of boring stuff that nobody really wants to read but will keep my bottom covered if anything bad comes to happen. You can't say I didn't show you the rules.
Content copyright and direct-linking
All photos, artworks, images and writing is of my own hand and mind. Unless stated otherwise, you have absolutely no right to direct-link, copy or use my content for derivative works without written permission prior to the work's creation. All images on this site are purposely saved with lower qualities and in smaller sizes than the original to discourage bad behavior. Content is protected by the United States copyright law and Digital Millenium Copyright Act.
Currently, the only things available for direct linking are the buttons for linking back to greydove.org located on the links page.
About the things I write...
Anything I write is, to my knowledge, true and sound. I do not wish to falsely portray anything. The writing in my writing gallery is my own work, and I take responsibility for all it says and means, but not necessarily what the reader might take it to mean. Questions about writing may be sent personally through either email or the form on my contact page, but I do not guarantee an answer. Inspirations for writing will not be revealed, though I do have a muse.
Discrimination
This site in no way intends to slight or discriminate against individuals of any particular race, religion, sex, orientation, organization, political party or whathaveyou. Discrimination is a serious matter. I'm a firm believer in equal human rights for ALL humans, and I do not tolerate such behavior.
For the record, my blatantly stating that I don't like you is not discrimination... it means I don't like you. That's a personal matter completely unrelated to discrimination.
Linking in and linking out
Nobody is responsible for the content on this site but myself. Excepting the guestbook and Ask a Question sections, which are both moderated, the words you find were written by me. Anything said by a visitor is their personal responsibility and if I do not catch it, I will not be held accountable. If offensive content has been written on this site by a visitor and it has not been deleted, please contact me.
I am not accountable for the content on the sites that I link to, nor am I accountable for the content of the sites that link to me. None of the sites I link to or that link to me responsible for my content. So if the domain "browsehappy.com" gets scooped up by a domain squatter and it gets plastered with porn (which, I suppose, is browsing happy for some...), that is SO not my problem.
But if that does happen, please email me so I can research what happened and take down the bad link.
Links and such...
If a link is posted on my links page, it is because I genuinely like it and think what the person has to say is useful, or at least entertaining. The resources I've got posted are things I like to use when I'm designing my websites, and I think they'd be very useful. The other cool sites I have linked are pages I enjoy reading, are good for research, or are things I support/believe in.
I don't link sites because they linked me. I don't link sites because they comment on my blog. A spot on that list, no matter how insignificant it is, is a spot earned through tickling my fancy. So if you ask me to exchange links, the answer will be: you're more than welcome to link to me, but don't expect the same in return.
Advertising, sponsors, and whatnot...
I don't plan on advertising on my site (like it gets enough traffic for that, anyway), or having my site sponsored, or being paid-per-post for blogging about products, or anything of the nature. Rest assured: if I blog about a product, it's because I personally endorse the product. If I post a link to a page, it's because I think it's worth the time, not because someone else does.
Privacy information
IPs are automatically logged by the scripts I use for my guestbook, ask-and-answer form and email form. I can and will use these to block IPs of abusive users. Emails and names are logged in the guestbook and are sent to me when I receive form emails. Email addresses are required to prevent spam and anonymous flames, and also allow me to continue a discussion about the topic privately. URLs and locations are not required information, but if they are shared, I will see them. The only things displayed on the site are names, urls and comments given.
I have the right to publish bits of email if I find them particularly amusing (in the way of bashing my site) or touching (in the way of giving me compliments). They will be posted anonymously and with no credit, unless I deem it justified.
While I could use the pocket change, I do have my standards, and I would never under any circumstances sell or distribute email addresses to third parties.
Pictures of me
Photos of me are provided to give a "name to the face" sort of thing. But please don't steal my likeness, attribute my face to your content, or pretend to be me. Golly, that would be weird.
As said by the ever-eloquent Flickr in their Community Guidelines:
